My new website is here, updated with new amazing visual content!
Creating this new atmosphere was so much fun from its conception to its execution, since I traveled to beautiful Italy and teamed up with Milano based photographer, Lisa Berg. Combined the visit with some heavy sightseeing, as well!
So, upon my arrival, I met Lisa at the shootings of a video clip for the band Light&Shade that were running these days in Milano. The girl is the sweetest, of course!
During the next days, we came up with a concept -well, we knew we wanted to use a natural landscape with water/mountain combination to it, we knew we wanted amazing natural light and wonderful vibe so we discussed styling, clothes and finally destination:
we traveled with the help of our friend Marco (yes, the Temperance genius) and reached the breathtaking Lago Maggiore, right at the borders of Italy and Switzerland.
The lake gave us its stunning looks and we gave it our energy and creativity and the result turned out to be great. There is a lot of material that is not yet to be released but already you can take a taste from the material already exposed on the website. In the near future, the rest of the material we created shall grace new musical adventures and even though you can't have a picture about it yet, you shall see that it all fits a beautifully shaped concept. Excited about this, in fact!
Working with Lisa was a really fun experience.
She is an extremely talented young lady that works hard for her art. She has such quality in everything she does. From picking locations to taking the actual pictures, to experimenting with such accuracy and vision and above all, treating her models with that amazing vibe that I personally identify as the ''Lisa vibe'' since then.
Working with photographers through the years,
staying relaxed and shaking off my shyness was always my interest. Creating something through experimentation and open thinking, getting inspired by each other. Lisa is fun and her attitude will relax you and in fact put your brain in function in getting resourceful and full of ideas to be tried out. Not every pic you shoot will make it to the last cut but it is important that through the whole process you get to get as close to your vision as possible. I hate shooting sessions that I live the studio thinking ''nevermind, we'll get it at another shooting''. Shooting with Lisa was NOT one of those shootings.
We went around a lot, to find the perfect spots, the perfect light conditions to the point that most of the material could already potentially be used without even one touch of editing. In fact, I think it shows, the pics are incredibly natural, the quality is stunning and for the first time in my life, even though I have collaborated with FANTASTIC photographers in the past, that this shooting is the one closest to my true self, catching me 100% in a natural state of being, posing, looking, feeling. Big part on that had to play the photographer's attitude towards the model.
Lisa knows how to see what objectively looks good and even optimize it from that one perfect angle.
We could of course not have worked so effectively, if it was not for the help we got from our friend Marco Pastorino, who would drive us around, help us carry heavy bags with camera lenses (bags with my clothes and shoes, as well - sorryyyy) and of course be around and grant us his good humour and positivity.
What an amazing trip that was!
Looking forward to our next collaboration! Check out Lisa's work by clicking on my AFFILIATES page. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by to read this blog post!
