_ If I had to begin from a specific point, that one would be that ever since I was 14 years old I used to listen to Fragile Vastness and feel every time the same thrill in my heart. For years I used to admire these guys (as I still do) but I guess that the best part was performing live with them.
A week ago (Friday 3/6/2011) I had the great opportunity to be a part of the wonderful reunion live of Fragile Vastness, “helping” them with the backing vocals. The previous night I did not even manage to keep an eye closed but that’s what you get before a live session!!
During the live, the atmosphere was very nice, the audience was very warm and respectful whereas the “crew” @ KYTTARO live was really helpful as the sound we managed to come up with had been greatly manifested by them. Personally, I had never enjoyed a live session so much before. We saw so many sweet people there supporting us, something which gave us an even happier and groovy mood. I loved the whole vibe we managed to spread out as an ensemble. Each one of the “fragile-guys” had an awesome energy and it was truly a great experience for me to cooperate with them. All of them are great musicians and most significantly great people. During the rehearsing procedure we all came closer and I had the chance to experience them all from the inside. So, rehearsing, at times chilling out with the guys, finally performing in a big Greek stage with a big Greek band, I’m more than happy for all of these brilliant experiences. It was really thrilling, these images are never going to fade from my memories.
To sum up, I’d like to thank each F.V. member individually, Alex Flouros (awesome person, brilliant musician, dearest partner, I’m proud to be a part of his musical plans and generally I love to have him in my life), Babis Tsolakis & Evi Katsamatsa (I’m sure this friendship is going to go on and on), George Eikosipendakis (THE voice) and Vangelis Yalamas (great bassist & songwriter). I had a great time with Fragile Vastness and I wish all the best for the future :-)
P.S. Thanks to Raphael Aretakis, Anastasia Tesoulin Verteouri and all the artists for the awesome photos you took.
You guys rock !!
